Simple Simon met a pieman…

We are enjoying the little rhymes from this book so much i decided to make a “pie” with Elijah. Lots of cutting practice, painting and not so much mess for me!
I thought this would turn out a little differently but hey, this is his project right!

cutting, some serious gluing, shaking the shaker paints, some materpiece going on and voila!

A strawberry/apple/blueberry Pie (Elijah has been playing with HiHo Cheerio boardgame and is obsessed with the berries and apples. Although he will still not eat any of it)

I promise to be a bit more imaginative next week but have a look at A Mommy’s Adventure for great ideas

I think it turned out really nice, and it’s very self-directed too. Great job, Eijah

  6. It looked pretty creative to me – and your little guy seemed to be really into it – what more could you want from a story stretcher? 🙂

My son keeps picking up our mother goose book lately, too. He only wants to read two rhymes, though: Down at the Station and Baa Baa Black Sheep. Maybe if we made a pie, he’d show some interest in the others.
