Open Ended Art – Black and white

Okay so my thoughts:

“oh dear” – used my last piece of black paper last week with the Black and orange theme
Next thought was – “Oh No” – no black paint either….
Ok so I get on my PC and look up on WikiHow? how to make black paint. Answer: Equal parts red, blue and yellow. Ok this we can do…

I decided to try the sponges again. Elijah didn’t really want to explore with them but I decided since this is OEA I would let him do what he wanted and not comment.Really difficult for someone who Always has something to say!

I was wondering how to make black paint because I did not have any as well. Thanks 🙂

It looks like you got the colors in the right balance, because it looks like perfect black paint — you might have just poured it right from a bottle!

I agree that it’s difficult not to comment or instruct on these OEA projects some times! But it sure is fun to see what they do when we restrain ourselves, isn’t it? =)

The camera actually made the black look better than it was. When it dried it looked more like a dark grey

  4. great stuff you even made the black paint 🙂

I agree that it’s hard not to instruct little ones in OEA. We had mixed success with this – I tried to make my early OEA projects very self-directed, but Anna didn’t enjoy it. Now I provide a little more guidance – it still leaves a lot of room for creativity.

He is so cute Donette! Great job on the paint, and thanks for the recipe!
