Open Ended Art has been working on a Colour Wheel Project that I only joined in now, in the third week. We have had quite long holidays and I am enjoying getting back in the swing of OEA. So we did Red, Yellow and Blue. Blue at the end and things got interesting then cause [...] I had to raid all craft supplies to gather a few feathers for this one. Since visiting a garden centre not far from us, Peacocks had made quite an impression on my young son. Not that he thought they were “way cool” or anything. He thought them quite scary and he knows what they look [...] Ok so to be totally honest I am not sure I managed to use Henri Matisse as a topic in our OEA but here we go… I saw a few of this Artist’s pieces over the internet but what guided me was the article found on Wikipedia. “known for his use of colour” is about [...] Okay so my thoughts: “oh dear” – used my last piece of black paper last week with the Black and orange theme Next thought was – “Oh No” – no black paint either…. Ok so I get on my PC and look up on WikiHow? how to make black paint. Answer: Equal parts red, blue [...] I didn’t have any black paint so it was one of my last pieces of construction paper. I sort of leeched the idea from Fundamentals (Hope Celiah Ann will forgive me!) I made orange paint put it on two paper plates, one where I added coarse salt and another Elijah chose the sprinkles from the [...] This weeks theme was Autum colours, red orange, brown and yellow. Now being in spring we have lots of colours around.
